Liz Rose is an established artist with over 30 years of creative experience. Having studied fine arts and mastered various mediums throughout her career, Liz is best known for creating distinct, multilayered resin paintings. Her background in jewellery design and manufacturing has strongly influenced her approach to creating art: assembling each painting layer by layer and piece by piece to construct the final work. After years of working from her design studio in Sydney, she has now embraced the natural beauty and inspiration of the South Coast of NSW where her new studio resides.

For Liz, art is more than a visual expression - it’s a medium to convey emotions and ideas that other methods of communication cannot capture. Her work invites viewers to connect on a deeply personal level, reflecting her belief that art is a continuous journey of self-discovery and a powerful means of connecting with others.

Liz’s current work is focused on resin and oil, both mediums that require meticulous care throughout the creation process. Importantly they allow her to explore and push the boundaries of the interplay of light, shape and colour, resulting in works that radiate depth, luminosity and richness creating the final visual experience.

“My creative process is a slow and mindful one where I am very much in the present moment. I encourage people to adopt that same mindful, meditative state when viewing my artwork, taking in the present moment and allowing the luminous transparent forms to have a calming effect on their mind, body and soul”.
